US gymnast McKayla Maroney earlier scored 16,233 with a beautiful vault at the 2012 London Olympics – basically making an extremely difficult routine look like the proverbial piece of cake in the process.
Her performance came while she struggled with a broken toe! In May, Maroney broke it. In June, she did it again. In July, about a week before the Olympics started, she increased the break after dismounting from the balance beam.
But just like her performance, the judges’ reactions were absolutely perfect. Can you spot them in the pic above?
