It’s not really a hard sell, is it? But now that Cape Town has been voted the number one city to visit in 2014 by The New Yorker, we thought we’d press the advantage home with this collection of shots, illustrating why you shouldn’t be living anywhere else in the world.

Sure, we’re allowed to use our tablets and smartphones when we’ve reached altitude – but it’s the grinding boredom of takeoff and landing that needs to be addressed here. Gautrain has announced intentions to roll out seven new routes on the service. As of yet, Gauteng’s leadership haven’t approved the new routes, and if they were approved, it isn’t entirely clear who would construct the routes; Gautrain, or the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa. Long story short, Joburg’s roads are now e-screwed, and it would be wise not to hold your breath for Gautrain development.
