Well, this is probably the most depressing thing you’ll read today. The social chair of Phi Kappa Tau at Georgia Tech sent an email to his chapter, with the subject line “Luring your Rapebait”. The email is a how-to for coercing sex out of women at frat parties, and includes the stern command, “NO RAPING”. Why are we not surprised that these guys need this instruction? Here’s the email

Power FM owner, Given Mkhari says he plans to lay charges of extortion and trespassing against a a 25-year-old media studies student and Vodacom service centre employee who has accused him 0f raping her. The unnamed woman laid the charge of sexual assault against the PowerFM co-founder eight months after the alleged incident. Mkhari says he is the victim of a targeted campaign of harassment.

Independent Police Unit Is Investigating 168 Cases Of Cops Accused Of Rape

The Independent Police Investigative Directorate’s acting executive director, Koekie Mbeki, said her directorate was investigating 168 cases in which SAPS cops were accused of rape. She went on to say that the figure was “substantially higher” than the 40 rape cases reported in the preceding financial year – you don’t say.

A Cape Town man was apparently raped by a man dressed as a woman on Wednesday in Observatory. He was sexually assaulted after the “woman” forced him into a dark alleyway. “She” was wearing a wig, black miniskirt, and wielded a knife. The 26 year-old victim has since had to receive counseling after his traumatic experience.
