It’s been revealed that Nigerian church workers prevented medical, emergency workers and journalists from accessing the collapsed church site, resulting in further casualties.
The Commission for the Protection and Promotion of Cultural, Religious and Linguistic Communities plans public meetings this month in Gauteng, Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal and the Free State. The meetings relate to the revision of public holidays, in particular Christian holy days. This follows “complaints and requests” it has received that the present public holidays recognise Christians and unfairly discriminate against other religions.
