The latest ad spots from Old Spice prove that they haven’t lost their edge. Nobody is on a horse, but they’re still a good chuckle.
When it comes to adverts, Old Spice does things a little differently. That’s why we’re loving their Valentine’s Day spots.
Terry Crews is known for many things, from his NFL days right through to bouncing his pecs for Old Spice, but his new venture is out of the blue.
Hello readers. Look at your colleague. Now back to the screen. Now back at your colleague. Now back to the screen. Sadly, your colleague isn’t your screen.
Here’s something to get your long weekend started: Nando’s take on the Old Spice “I’m on a horse” ad. It just started airing, and we rather like it.
Terry Crews is a former NFL star, part-time actor, and most famously, Old Spice Guy. Crews is in South Africa for reasons unbeknowst to us, but that doesn’t detract that he did these things with his legs live on South African breakfast television, this morning.
Isaiah Mustaf, or “The Old Spice Guy” dropped off the radar a little bit after his role in the Man Your Man Could Smell Like campaign. Where in the heck did he go? He went to Israel. To sell beer. Obviously.
Old Spice’s ad agency, Wieden+Kennedy has introduced a new spokesperson to the now revered line of YouTube Old Spice spokespeople, which has included the likes of Isaiah Mustafa and Fabio Lanzoni. The ambassador for their Wild Collection is a wolf, Mr Wolfdog. And obviously, he has been appointed their Executive Director of Marketing, and enjoys his […]
Wieden + Kennedy, the ad agency that looks after the Old Spice, has come up with a novel way to find the brand’s next social media strategist. They have setup a list of interesting social media challenges that must be completed by November 5th.
Ever dreamt of vicariously playing instruments with a large, black bodybuilder’s muscles? Well dream no more! Thanks to Old Spice and Terry Crews that day has come, we present to you: “Muscle Music”.
COMPETITION NOW CLOSED! Congratulations to ROWAN, who has pledged to match the R5 000 prize money, and treat his father, and his father’s soul mate to a night’s stay at the gorgeous Westcliff Hotel, in Johannesburg. You’re aware that Father’s Day is next Sunday? Yes, next Sunday. That’s nine days from now, my friends. Nine […]
COMPETITION CLOSED Over the last few weeks, we’ve discussed fatherhood, and what it meant to the men of yore. My father, for example, was the keyboardist in McCully Workshop, a band famous for regularly melting faces (and hearts) in the greater South African geographical area. You think I can get a man like that a […]
I was reclining on the deck of the Safehouse the other day, enjoying one of these secret Winter/Summer days that Capetonians tend to keep to themselves when describing our home, for fear of coming across as braggards, taking in the sunset. The ol’ iPod threw out McCully Workshop’s The Buccaneer, which I’ve been known to […]
You have only one month, and one week until Father’s Day, 2012. And you know what? This might be the last one in history. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyCCd8MCcZY But probably not. But speaking of history, how much do you actually know about Father’s Day? For example, did you know: Modern Father’s Day was invented by Sonora Smart Dodd, […]
Cast your mind back to your days as a wee lad, or lass. Barring an unfortunate condition of some kind, the chances are that your father shaved. He definitely shaved. Nay, he shaved, definitely. Every stroke of the blade/pen knife/shard of glass was deliberate, powerful, pregnant with intent to do grievous harm to the brutal […]
Old Spice – makers of the best TV adverts in the world – has a new campaign. In it, they urge the average guy on the street to simply believe “in yoursmellf.” But what does a skinny white guy who wins all the sports, has a sophisticated group of friends, and dating Heather Graham have to do with it all? You’ll have to see for yourself.
Old Spice is so powerful, it sells itself in other people’s commercials. No, really, true story. If that’s still not enough for you, then how about Terry Crews’ pecs making super cute laser sounds? Video after the jump.
What if there was a deodorant out there powerful enough to transform any ordinary guy into a man who smells like power? Wonder no more! Thanks to Old Spice, that day has come, together with a new mind-blowing ad campaign.
No matter how passive and opposed to violence you might be, there are times when you just want to hit something (or someone) to relieve some stress. Sadly this is not always appropriate behaviour in civilised society. Thankfully Old Spice has provided the perfect digital alternative.
I feel a little bad for Widen + Kennedy, Old Spice’s advertising agency; everything they’ve done since introducing Isaiah Mustafa as the Old Spice Guy has been subject to comparison, not always fairly. Which is a pity, because they’re killing it here with their new “Smell Better Than Yourself” campaign. Check out the video, after the jump.
Old Spice has launched a new marketing campaign for its ‘Jungle Wilderness’ scent, featuring a vague parody of manly mascot Isaiah Mustafa. I mean, it’s funny and good but mostly I feel a big ol’ Isaiah Mustafa-shaped vacuum when watching this. Click through, though. Moustaches.
I love Isaiah Mustafa. You love Isaiah Mustafa. But the honeymoon is over, Isaiah, and it’s only right that you show us a little more than your honey-glazed eyes or perfect teeth. Take us behind the curtain; show us how you make the magic happen, commercially.
There’s a new Old Spice ad. There were some details about it being dedicated to Chris Gatewood, winner of the Old Spice ‘Superfan’ contest, but you don’t really care about that, surely – you just want to see Isaiah Mustafa make you want to buy things that smell delicious, don’t you?
Can I be the first to say awwwww yeah? Would that be okay with you guys? I mean, I don’t want to step on anybody’s toes or anything, but Isaiah Mustafa and his striking brown eyes are back to peddle Old Spice at me, and it just feels right. Okay? Here I go. Awwwww yeah.
Instead, it’s a video of some dude using a woman and a small child as a seatbelt. Or it’s about hugs. Or maybe they’re saying a woman and child will hug you if you drive a car in Sussex? I’m not totally sure, because the important thing to note here is that somehow this lost […]
You gotta love the monsters of Sesame Street! Just last week they were in the dwang for ripping off Katy Perry, now this week they’re having a go at the Old Spice ad. You know, the one with the guy on a horse. They did it well – very funny indeed! Check out the video..
