While completing the final leg of a round-the-world trip, Sean Terry mysteriously disappeared while sailing between the Maldives and Madagascar. Foul play is suspected and the only other person who was on board at the time, an Austrian scuba diving instructor, has been arrested.

The 32-year-old woman, Zainab Bibi, killed her husband after she found he was planning to marry another woman without first seeking her permission.

It alleges that Sean Combs aka Puff Daddy aka Diddy commissioned both the murders of Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls. In another pretty sensational twist in the Lolly Jackson murder tale, the man identified as the prime suspect for killing the late Jackson’s lawyer was found dead this morning. Ian Jordaan, lawyer of the slain Teazers owner, disappeared last week, and the body of suspect Mark Andrews was found in the East Rand earlier today with a gun shot wound evident.

A 72-year-old woman, living on her own in St. Francis Bay, killed an intruder early Sunday morning after she had been tied up, threatened and shoved in a cupboard. I am entirely unashamed to say that I think this woman is awesome and should be awarded the Victoria Cross and The Congressional Medal of Honor.

Our infallible chief of police, General Bheki Cele, has humbly decided to withdraw his statement calling murder suspect, Shrien Dewani, “a monkey”. It has been a mere four months, but Cele decided that in the interest of all concerned, he ought to withdraw his monkey comment, Public Protector Thuli Madonsela said on Monday. And so he did.

Strange. We just had one. As sad as this is, this is likely to unfortunately cement in international tourists’ subconscious that old cliche of Africa as beautiful and exotic, but dangerous. On the face of it there are some differences here to the Anni Dewani murder – the victim was strangled, not shot, and it happened in Mauritius, not Gugulethu. Nevertheless, the couple was on honeymoon. The wife got murdered, in Africa.
