Gillette’s world-famous slogan, “The Best a Man Can Get”, doesn’t mean that men can’t become better people. Dare suggest it, though, and tempers boil over.
Nobody could have anticipated this, but the growing hipster culture and Movember movement has been blamed for a massive decrease in Procter & Gamble’s profits as Gillette razors and Braun electric razors sales plummet. The company’s net income for the quarter dropped to $3.4 billion, down from $4.1 billion in the same period last year.
This time last year Tiger Woods was embroiled in that infamous scandal, which had the vultures at the tabloids clicking their poison pens. A year later and the safety razor group known by 99% of the facial hair-growing community as Gillette, is cutting all ties.
