Scottish trials cyclist Danny MacAskill has finally released his new riding film and my, is it a winner. Click through to check it out.
Red Bull’s marketing strategy seems to be, “I see what you did there. Hold on while we do something 1 000 times more awesome and post it on YouTube.” Well, they’ve nailed it again with the craziest Rube Golberg machine ever. Bigger and more intense than ‘ol Rube could ever have imagined.
Here’s something you might (or might not) want to try at home. Danny Macaskill is a Scottish stunt rider who’s won international acclaim, and even some awards for his skills on a bike. Think parkour on two wheels.
“But this is CYCLING!”, I hear you blurt, rusk crumbs embedding themselves in your computer screen. “You guys don’t LIKE cyclists!” That said, Danny MacAskill is no prawn. He’s a stylish, skilled athlete, and he makes the infrastructure of our beloved city look oh-so-fine.
We discovered Danny MacAskill in 2009. He was the antidote to the prawn carnage that we’d been suffering all over Cape Town for some time. Since then the video that he posted (Danny MacAskill-April 2009) has reached nearly 24 million YouTube hits. While MacAskill’s new video, released three months ago, has 7 million hits and counting.
