Pop-rock diva Bonnie Tyler will be performing at the Cape Town Convention Centre on 6 and 7 September 2013. This will be Tyler’s first return to the country after 20 years. Tyler’s famously husky voice led to her being called “the female Rod Stewart”. Fun fact! Tyler was born with the name ‘Gaynor Hopkins’. Good move, on the change, Bonnie.

A Big Concerts representative let slip yesterday that Justin Bieber would perform two shows in South Africa next year. Then a radio station gave away the first tickets this morning leaving little to the imagination.
Cape Town was visited by some distant cousin of hurricane Sandy yesterday, with 50km/h+ winds. Sadly for some concert goers, a massive advertising tower was blown over at Cape Town stadium, crashing to the ground, killing 1 and injuring some 20 others.
