Gareth Cliff is in trouble with the BCCSA after he interviewed a conspiracy theorist who believes that the world is run by lizard people, and that COVID-19 is a hoax.
According to the Broadcasting Complaints Commission of SA (BCCSA), MultiChoice has been handed a R10,000 fine for an advert that promoted the ‘Hannibal’ television series. The BCCSA said that on 24 April 2013, the commission received three complaints when the advert was broadcast during Masterchef Australia on M-Net.
When Gareth Cliff said on his show that “most 22-year-olds are laying on their backs with their legs open at 22, or else they are drinking” he wasn’t being a hater. This after the Broadcasting Complaints Commission of South Africa (BCCSA) found him innocent of hate speech, following a complaint by a listener.
