That and more happens in another episode of the Anne Hirsch Show, filmed inside a half-jacuzzi, somewhere in South Africa. Wish DJ Fresh luck, as he endures the most awkward show in the country.
Would you rather walk around with Os du Randt on your back for a week or make out with Naas Botha for 10 seconds? Anne Hirsch caught up with Bobby Skinstad at the Cape Town Tens rugby tournament, to ask this vital question.
The original headline read, “This Is How White People Pronounce Mamphela Ramphele,” but we figured we’d upset some of you judging by the feelings caught from a teeny-weeny joke at Fred De Klerk’s expense we cracked recently. In any event, this actually is how white people – and some black people – pronounce Mamphela Ramphele. […]
Surely you all know of Anne Hirsch by now? Sure you do. She’s back making videos again, and this time she’s taken a page from Loyiso Gola’s book – and started her very own news channel.
For your pleasure: The latest episode of the Anne Hirsch Show features the Monarch of the Fiefdom of Cape Town, Madam Premier Helen of Leeuwenhof. The girls chat about drum majorettes, rottweilers, and other interesting things.
It’s Friday, so here you go. Watch this whole thing. There are some great parts, and there are some very, very weird parts. Nevertheless, it is roundly wonderful, and features a half-jacuzzi.
Anne Hirsch is back for a third season properly now – after kicking it off with a short trip to Rocking the Daisies. In this episode, Hirsch makes another trip to Darling, though this time it isn’t to poke fun at festival goers – but rather to probe the infamous Tannie Evita Bezuidenhout while sitting on her couch.
Local YouTube phemon, Anne Hirsch has been causing quite a stink (a nice stink) lately, and her success has begged the question: Is the future of South African comedy online? Watch the clip, and find out. Catch Tech Report every Thursday evening at 21h30 on eNCA Africa DSTV channel 403. Check out their YouTube channel, here. Follow […]
To kick start Hashtag Season 3 of The Anne Hirsch Show, Anne and her crew embarked on a roadtrip to Darling for the annual Rocking the Daisies festival. Says Anne, “We made so many new #besties and basically had THE BEST TIME IN THE WORLD EVER and we didn’t even have to twerk.” Our favourite parts were the Norwegian speaking “Xhosa”, and Anne brushing her teeth with someone else’s tooth brush.
FOBLO Bulletin Episode seven (we’re pretty sure it’s actually eight) is here, friends. This week they nail Colin Moss, Top Billing, Elana Afrika, HQ, Debora Patta, and Pearl Thusi. Oh, and Tableview. Hold on to your butts!
FOBLO Bulletin Episode 6 is here, my lovelies. Packed to the brim with the the usual acid dose of snark and verve, this episode does a massive sidestep half-way through, and nails a tribute to Mandela, imagined as the career history of an actor.
You’re on the home stretch to your lunch break, and the fifth episode of Oliver Hermanus’ FOBLO (“fear of being left out”) Bulletin has dropped. This week features a brief interview with Steve Hofmeyr, who earlier this week (again) claimed that white people in South Africa are the victims of genocide. For real. FOBLO Bulletin […]
Welcome to Friday! The fourth episode of Oliver Hermanus’ FOBLO (“fear of being left out”) Bulletin has dropped. We were particularly fond of the #socialtruths segment of the show, so keep a sharp eye out for those. FOBLO Bulletin presenter, Anne Hirsch co-hosts the Rhys Woods show on 2oceasnvibe Radio. If you missed last week’s bulletin, […]
Welcome to Friday! The third edition of Oliver Hermanus’ FOBLO (“fear of being left out”) Bulletin has dropped, and has been eagerly anticipated after episode two, which was possibly the most painful joke Cape Town has ever had to endure apart from Burger King.
A collaberation between local film maker, Oliver Hermanus and comic, Anne Hirsch, the FOBLO Bulletin does a good job of offending pretty much everyone in Cape Town. And obviously they cross a few more people off their list this week.
This is a news bulletin with a difference. The Fear of Being Left Out bulletin keeps you in the loop with regards to everything that is happening in and around the Cape Town area with some added advice for “good measure”.
