UCT have finally broken their silence on why Chumani Maxwele, the face of the ‘Rhodes Must Fall’ campaign, was suspended last month. Their account doesn’t paint a pretty picture.
The ANC Youth League have set their sights on one of Pretoria’s statues now and they have some rather prominent voices behind them.
Raw, uncensored and uncut. And with Gareth Cliff at the helm, you can pretty much imagine the content. With albeit way more freedom of speech than what was ever allowed on his previous mainstream-media broadcasting platform.
Even with increased security and rumours of an attack on the provincial legislature, “poo dumpers” have managed to empty the contents of portable flush toilet tanks in order to convey a message.

The Mail and Guardian is reporting that the long-running investigation by the Hawks into allegations of fraud and corruption by former ANC Youth League president Julius Malema is almost at an end, and an arrest is immanent.
The Umkhonto we Sizwe Military Veterans’ Association (MKMVA) has kicked up quite a bit of dust over a statement they’ve made about Julius Malema. They say that if this was still the struggle era, Malema would have been killed by a firing squad for “the way in which he was rude to the ANC leadership.” See the ANCYL’s response after the jump.
Yesterday Julius Malema’s struggle with the South Africa’s judicial system surfaced in the media. See the video of him discussing his love-hate relationship with his white lawyers inside, but also keep an eye on our boy’s outfit. Once again he reminds us that just because you are a beret-wearing revolutionary, there is no excuse for not popping at least two collars in the process.
The ANC Youth League has attacked the media for reporting on Julius Malema’s finances, claiming that it’s all a big conspiracy against him and that the media is “funded” by the right-wing Afrikaaner group “Die Broederbond”.
For an organisation with a slogan like “Fight, Produce, Learn”, the ANCYL certainly doesn’t seem to adhere to the “learn” part. For the third time this year, their website has been hacked. I can’t help it. I have to write about this. It’s too good not to write about. Insanity is always funny. In this case the insanity comes once more from the king’s jester, Julius. He said yesterday that he didn’t drive white people away from voting for the ANC, because they never voted for the ANC in the first place.
We all have our lapses of judgment. But some of us make such horrendously poor decisions that one simply has to ask, “What were they on?”. Every week we bring you three contenders in what can only be described as a battle of small wits. So, with great pleasure we present this week’s three La […]
The ANC Youth League’s website was hacked yesterday. A message was posted saying that the great one himself, Julius Malema, had decided to quit as president of the organisation due to his own incompetence, lack of integrity and a lot of other stuff we know all too well.
ANC Youth League President and man of letters, Julius Malema, says that his organisation would like some shares in mining company Anglo American, 60% to be precise. The predicated price of what would be a record take-over, the ANCYL predict, would be about R0.00.
If you haven’t heard yet, government spokesman, Jimmy Manyi said recently that he thinks that there is an oversupply of coloured folk in the Western Cape, and that perhaps it is best if they’d shift around a bit. He made the remarks on kykNET last year when he said: “So this over-concentration of coloureds in the Western Cape is not working for them.”
The child – born in 1981 – who heads up the ANC Youth League has been described in this weekend’s Sunday Times as a ‘Village Idiot.’ Hilarious! This after he “called the 2010 Fifa World Cup an “imperialist activity” which brought people to SA for the purpose of exploitation,” when welcoming the organising committee of the 17th World Festival for Youth and Students.” But it’s not a discussion of this utterance that I wish to cover here..
Boring FYI to anyone concerned with the daily drama that is Julius Malema, man-child extraordinaire:
