This interview should only be for publication in 2050, but I thought I would give you a taste anyway! And my goodness, have things changed around here! It seems Jeannie […]
‘Muggle Quidditch:’ A bunch of dudes and ladies run around in capes and goggles with broomsticks between their legs while throwing balls at mounted hoops. This is an official sport, with a World Cup in November. Feel free to take a moment to weep now.
A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, I sat in a mid-priced family car outside a pub. Having read the AA Guide to Southern England, and finished my bag of crisps and bottle of Coke, I waited patiently for my parents..
Thousands of politically-minded Kiwis have come out in protest to prevent production of the Lord of the Rings prequel, The Hobbit, from moving out of New Zealand. I understand completely – I went through the same thing when my parents made me stop wearing my wizard outfit to school.
It has been made pretty public that Mel is not chuffed that he lost is role in The Hangover 2 to Liam Neeson. But just how many roles have the big names lost without us knowing about it?
It kills me to admit this, but I was not aware that The Hoff had covered a Madonna song! And not just ANy song – he covered La Isla Bonita – possibly one of her more hilarious tunes! The entire spectacle and magic that David Hasselhoff offers the world is so great that I doubt we will ever be able to fathom it in its entirety. Enjoy this mere drop in the ocean that is The Hoff!

With The Hangover 2 being filmed I thought it only appropriate that we get to know a bit more about the main actor Zach Galifianakis. Meet his twin brother, Seth Galifianakis.
There is a lot of 3D talk at the moment and, personally, I don’t know if these 3D TV’s are gonna fly. I just can’t get into the vibe of sitting in The Safe House with silly 3D glasses on. Especially watching TV! But looking at a book, now that’s different. That’s probably why one man’s entrepreneurial spirit has manifested itself into the most useful of 3D offerings. I give you 3DD – a 3D book of boobs! (NSFW)
The BBC has long been regarded as the calm and steady hand guiding the British public. Its objective, measured approach to the news has long been its appeal.
In an attempt to change the public’s perception of them, one of their senior reporters goes absolutely mental on a protesters sign.
Simon Burrow writes this book review from his home in Menerbes, somewhere in the Luberon Valley – Provence: Long ago when men were men, ladies were ladies and journalists were real wordsmiths, Normal Canale was at his peak.
In a career spanning five decades, Canale was a pioneer tabloid journo. Expert in rugby and boxing (he called it the ‘sweet science’), in particular, Norman Canale sold newspapers. Canale lived with the characters, he ate and breathed them. He drank with them.
We love mary jane. Spider-Man loves Mary Jane. We love Spider-Man. In particular, we love Emma Stone, the angel from Zombieland and Superbad, who’ll be playing Peter Parker’s love interest in the rebooted Spider-Man film.
There are some pictures of her. You might want to keep your web shooters handy.

5fm’s Gareth Cliff’s letter to the government has attracted quite a bit of attention over the past few days, with only an excerpt published here and there. We have managed to get hold of the entire letter and thought you would like to see it in its entirety – especially those of you who struggle with searching on the internet. Bless you. Gareth’s letter after the jump.
“Drunkorexia” – a combination of starving yourself and bingeing on alcohol as a means of not gaining weight. Destructive yet genius at the same time…
Last week’s Antimov competition challenged amateur engineers to build robots that broke one of the Three Laws or Robotics – which you’d know if you’d read I, Robot (nerd) or saw that movie where Will Smith had the robot arm. No, the robot arm was not called Eva Mendez.
Well now I’ve seen it all. Seriously? A 5-year-old proposing to a 3 year old? I just wonder how this made the news, who would take it seriously?
This is hysterical. The US ‘Parents Television Council” (God help us all) has slammed the latest US GQ Magazine for publishing pictures which “border on pedophilia.” And I assure you it’s not to do with the cover! The gaggle of bored ultra-conservatives were referring to a photo shoot the legendary magazine did with the cast of Glee, a high-school-musical type series that is probably also showing on local screens (I wouldn’t know – but can confirm it is on Apple TV). Follow the link for more on the story + all the pics..

Details after the jump.
The sudden appearance of a crocodile onboard a routine flight in the Democratic Republic of Congo led to the plane crashing, killing 20. Only one passenger survived the crash, along with the crocodile; the crocodile was then killed with a machete. We’re not sure why this movie hasn’t been made yet.
