Instead, it’s a video of some dude using a woman and a small child as a seatbelt. Or it’s about hugs. Or maybe they’re saying a woman and child will hug you if you drive a car in Sussex? I’m not totally sure, because the important thing to note here is that somehow this lost […]
Album Signed By Lennon For His Killer Goes On Sale – The album that John Lennon signed for Mark David Chapman hours before he killed the former Beatle is back up for sale for an astonishing $850,000. The “Double Fantasy” LP was signed by Lennon as he left his home at the Dakota on Dec. […]
Some of you might have caught the article in the Sunday Times about the Learjet that is about to go under the hammer, courtesy of Auction Alliance. More interesting, of course, is the jet’s billionaire owner, Gaston Savoi, who has been arrested in a government tender scandal. Follow the link for the story + some […]
I’ll stand by my own admission that South Africans are critical of referees in sporting fixtures. Having said this I have never quite seen a story where referees have threatened to strike for fearing their safety. In Scotland the refs have suffered some serious abuse.
The Cosmopolitan Summer Fashion show and after-party is one of the most anticipated and sexiest events of the year. It has to be said that with the myriad of invites sent to 2oceansvibe, this is one we would never (and have never) turn down! And now you can become a part of it too! Follow […]
There’s a restaurant in Pringle Bay, just an hour from Cape Town, called Hook, Line, and Sinker. When you walk in to this effortlessly cool establishment you are guided to a table hewn from American Poplar that is scrubbed daily with Sunlight liquid and once a week rubbed lovingly with Cobra wax.
Fantastic. Self-described sex blogger, ‘Furrygirl,’ opted to go for a patdown instead of undergoing TSA scanning at a Seattle airport, citing health concerns about radiation; to protest the TSA’s super-invasive new procedures, she stripped down to sexy underwear prior to her interview, and videoblogged the whole thing. Mildly NSFW, but hey, it’s okay if it’s political. […]
It’s a festival of beer like no other. From 25 to 27 November (this coming weekend), Hamilton’s Rugby Club (next to the Cape town stadium) will be home to the 2010 Cape Town Festival of beer. With over 40 different beers and 20 brewers on board, not to mention live band, big screens (Boks vs […]
21 November 2010: Race winner Nic White kisses his wife Diane White during the Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge on 21 November 2010 in Johannesburg, South Africa. Besides the sweat, Lycra, and helmets, two things in particular are troubling here. The creeper in the shades, and the delighted child. [Image: Gallo]
Some weeks ago, Finnish divers discovered several crates of two-centuries-old champagne and beer from a sunken ship in the Baltic Sea for nearly two centuries. They then drank some of it because, hey, why not. And, because sharing is nice, Finnish authorities sponsored a public opening and tasting of the champagne last Friday.

Springbok coach Peter de Villiers generously made special provision for an interview with 2oceansvibe Radio’s Seth Rotherham and Bruce Good ahead of the test between South Africa and Sotland at Murrayfield on November the 20th. You can listen to all of the high-pitched enthusiasm here, right now.
There is a pretty cool tradition recognised by surfers around the world, called a ‘paddle out.’ It is usually performed in recognition or as a memorial to fallen surfers. With the recent untgimely death of surf legend Andy Irons, surfers the world over performed paddle-outs in silent tribute to their fallen brother. Video after the jump.
There’s literally no excuse for getting drunk and taking pictures of your team-mate’s Labrador performing a sex act on you, as Canberra Raiders winger, Joel Monaghan did. I’ve tried and I can’t think of a single scenario where that would be an appropriate course of action.
When French photographer Sacha Goldberger found out his 91-year-old grandmother was suffering from depression, he did the most rational thing French photographer Sacha Goldberger could think of: he dressed his grandmother up in superhero outfits around town and took photos of her until she stopped being depressed.
Here at 2oceansvibe, phone etiquette is paramount; if I hear a phone ringing and I think it might be mine, I reserve the right to lose my shit. Another thing we care about is being well-dressed, or at least pretending like we do; and now those two pleasures are combined in a single fancy product.
Oh yes people, the McLaren MP4-12C is here. This supercar is what dreams are made of and it is definitely set to cause a stir in the performance stakes. It’s light, very light with even the engraved rather than raised lettering McLaren detail saving 2 g of weight!
Kevin Mealamu is a talented individual. Not only is the master of getting away with blatant head butts (yawn), but also he is pretty masterful at driving a tank. Competing with fellow ABs Conrad Smith and Piri Weepu, Mealamu shows that even if he was out of rugby for months, he could combine his head butting and tank-driving skills to become quite the serviceman. [VIDEO]
Blue Bulls Murder Conspiracy – After the kind of year that they’ve had one wonders how it is that the Blue Bulls manage to stay competitive, let alone win at the top level of rugby. Police have confirmed the arrest of a middle aged woman over an alleged plot to murder a Blue Bulls player […]
Jeez, don’t hate us ‘cos we interviewed one of the godfathers of rap on 2oceansvibe Radio. Regular listeners have become quite used to this vibe – Plush today, Spud yesterday (with Arno Carstens), Simon Le Bon the other day. It’s endless. But for now, check out this interview Chuck D did with our lunch hosts, Luca & Josie!
One of the advantages of being in the Puma ‘stable’ is they do sometimes make the mistake of letting me invite my friends to shop for nearly half price. But they forget that this would include 60,000 2oceansvibers out there, like yourself. So, that said, move your ass and email 2oceansvibe@puma.co.za with your name and […]
We’re certainly no stranger to the clustercuss that is Kanye West. We’ve recently discussed the banning of his questionable album cover and now we bring you the interview that caused his media trainer to quit after just three days on the job.
Glenn Agliotti, accused of involvement in the murder of failed mining magnate Brett Kebble, at the Johannesburg High Court on 17 November 2010. Arguments were heard for the dismissal of the charges against Agliotti, which include a charge of murder, one of attempted murder and two counts of conspiracy to commit murder. (Photo by Gallo […]
That’s right ladies and gentlemen. Due to unprecedented demand, Mr Adriaan Willem Bergh has re-posted his Mr South Africa 2011 promotional video to YouTube (you saw it here first), and he’s directed us to it. If this is the kind of treatment we’re getting before he wins, just imagine the true pleasure we’re in for following his victory.
The teaser trailer for Cowboys & Aliens is out. The title may be a little worrisome for you, and maybe you’re afraid that, with Harrison Ford being there, this is going to be some sort of Morning-Glory-esque weep-fest starring Rachel McAdams. I put it to you that this movie is going to be the best thing in your life when it gets released.
Movember is a time when men support other men with prostate cancer by growing moustaches. It’s a beautiful thing. But many women, understandably, feel a little left out – how can they offer support? Ideally, they can’t grow moustaches of their own, and fake moustaches are uncomfortable, if not downright insulting. Asylum has the answer: on November 18, ‘women can support the cause by making love to a man with a glorious, wooly mustache.’
It seems that social media impersonators are creating a bit of discomfort within the Springbok camp. While I’m not sure I have found any that are intended to deceive the public (and media), I did find a rather comical example dedicated to one Bakkies Botha. More after the jump.
It was an action-packed day yesterday at 2oceansvibe Radio, as we received not only the star of Spud, Troye Silvan, but also SA Rock legend, Arno Carstens. Just a normal day at the office, over at 2oceansvibe Radio. Download the podcast if you missed it and be sure to tune in every day, as we […]
