Inside The ‘Situation Room’ – The people who gathered Sunday in the Situation Room know all about high-pressure situations. But this was something else. For 40 minutes, the President and his senior aides could do nothing but watch the video screens and listen to the operation and ensuing firefight on the other side of the […]
To get to my mother’s desk I had to walk through a curio shop. It was one of those dreadfully cheesy African curio shops, with the carved wooden and stone animals, the beads and the bowls, like you find at any South African airport, the Moyo restaurants and the Durban beachfront. I have that exact same feeling (as if I’m back in that curio shop) when I come across certain music videos made by South African bands. What is with this new trend with our bands who think that by merely smearing white face paint across their videos it will make them mysterious and exotic?
Not shy of diversification, it seems this local retailer is versatile enough to branch out into personal hygiene products. Who would have thought that a butchery would be the go-to place for one to acquire Ass Creams? “Kudos” to you!
The face of global terror and the mastermind behind the 9/11 attacks on America’s World Trade Centers in New York, has been killed. On Sunday night, just near the Pakistani capital, a crack team of 25 navy seals cruised into a sprawling mansion and after a brief ‘firefight’ they took him down. Eat that, Geoge […]
A lot of you will recognise Sam Delaney as the awfully funny guy that reads the newspaper headlines on SKY News with former 2oceansvibe guest, Charlotte Hawkins. I am not 100% sure on which exact day of the week Sam appears on SKY News, or whether his guest appearances are merely ad hoc, but when […]

I sincerely hope you lot have been following the hilarities going on State-side. Our regular Morning Spice readers should be well-versed in Donald Trump’s birth-obsession conspiracy theory he picked up in his quest to become the next President of the United States of America. After months of speculation, Barack Obama finally revealed his original birth […]
Probably the greatest photograph to be taken of the Royal Wedding, features a scowling Grace van Cutsem – Prince William’s 3-year-old goddaughter. The timing of the photo is nothing short of epic, as it happens to be during the newlyweds first balcony kiss. The crowds are going nuts, as a clearly unimpressed Grace covers her […]
Kate Moss is basically the greatest supermodel that ever lived. But not only that, she also happens to be a genuine fashion icon. Lest we forget she got bust for coke and punished critics by coming back stronger than ever before. Right now she is on the cover of French Vogue AND Vogue Brazil AND […]
I’ll be honest, my friends and I have been practicing the climbing-out-of-the-pool-with-water-pouring-down-our-faces men’s fragrance commercial ripoff for quite some time. Now whilst GQ allowed a bit of indulgence, it was only when Kulula came to the party – allowing such ridiculousness – that the years of training finally paid off! Morne Van Zyl took the […]
Our royal reporter, Nadia Neophytou, was in London these past few days, and gives us this report: “Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue…” Catherine Middleton, Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Duke, made true this Victorian lore, as her fairytale wedding unfolded in London yesterday. From the dress to her earrings and tiara, […]
A new iPhone game that’s been developed by a company from Boston, and that allows users to drive a truck full of immigrants through the desert while trying to prevent them from getting thrown out of the vehicle, has understandably been rejected by Apple Inc. The bigoted game can still be downloaded for PC’s and Mac’s though.
You’ve seen those orange Guido’s in Jersey Shore with names like The Situation, Snooki, JWoww, and Sweetheart. Now get ready for the UK version with the same custard-coloured, massive and ripped, carbon-copy cast but with UK accents. In this series they’ll do exactly what their American counterparts are doing with their existence: NOTHING. Meet them inside.
But seriously! Lagerfield had a candy sculpture of Baptiste Giabiconi comissioned to promote Magnum ice cream. It’s wearing white briefs, and is placed inside of a room made of chocolate. There are so many comments to make about this that I am just going to report the facts and let you guys run with it, okay?
Although botox has the miraculous ability of wiping away years of emotional expression on your face, it may have the unintended effect of actually wiping away your own ability to read the expression on the faces of others.
For those of you who missed it – here is a video of the royal wedding vows made between Prince William and and Kate Middleton today at Westminster Abbey. Click link to check it out.
It’s understandable that one of the world’s busiest airports has been even busier during the course of the last week. London was expecting an influx of around 600 000 tourists alone and it’s now emerged that 10 members of a visiting male Himalayan choir have used the opportunity and “absconded”. Cue an interesting episode of UK Border Force.
Orly Taitz is the leader of the the “birther” movement – those claiming that Barack Obama is not a legal citizen of the United States. After his official birth certificate was however released earlier this week, she was interviewed on national TV and given the opportunity to apologise. She didn’t. See what happens when the interviewer finally loses his patience with her.
And you thought it was just Apple and Google! Gosh. TomTom has admitted that its satellite navigation devices can track users and report to third parties about how fast they’re going – like the police, for instance. Your TomTom is a speed camera now.Yay future.
Our intrepid reporter from the Outback of the Northern Territory, Bruce Manley, decided to pop on to the Flying Kangaroo and hop over to London to see exactly what is taking crocs off the front page of the NT News.
Okay, I have tried to stay out of it. I vowed that I would not get caught up in all the insanity surrounding this wedding. But come on! Some American woman has literally quit her job to fly to England, a miserable and wet country, to be amongst the throng of slags and chavs on Kate’s big day.
A further tornado outbreak yesterday has killed at least 210 people in Alabama, prompting President Barack Obama to sign a disaster declaration to assist the clean up of the aftermath of the twisters. Tornados have been ravaging the southern states of the USA for days now, and the death toll has risen to 300.

Tornadoes are just fascinating, aren’t they? So much force and destructive power wrapped up in a crazy cone of wind. In the last few days, the southern states of the USA have been hit by a spate of storms which have given birth to deadly tornadoes. Check out this video, captured by CCTV cameras from inside Lambert Airport, in St Louis.
While I hate to be negative about sportsmen who are much more talented than I ever was, and try their hardest to perform well, I have to make an exception this week. The Bull’s second half performance on Saturday against a very average Western Force outfit was planlose* to say the least. Worst of all, […]
The big day is virtually upon us now and the official programme for the royal wedding has finally been released this morning, a mere 24 hours before Prince William and Kate Middleton make it official at Westminster Abbey. The programme also includes a new photograph taken at the time of their engagement.
In this video you’ll see a guy in a wheelchair holding onto a working lawn mower in order to cross a street busy enough to have a traffic light. Is he a differently-abled, improvising genius? Or simply the inventor of a motorized wheelchair powered by petrol and laziness?
German actress Antje Traue has been cast as ‘Faora,’ villainous accomplice to the no-less-ridiculous-sounding Zod in the Zack Snyder-directed Superman reboot. Since we’re now assured at least one slow-motion high-definition Traue scene, the reboot might be worth looking at, Snyder notwithstanding.
UK condom maker Durex is soon going to release a condom, dubbed by most, the “Viagra Condom”. According to the Wall Street Journal, biotech company, Futura Medical, has created a method of incorporating an erection-sustaining gel into condoms.
