She is currently in the country to meet with Greek leaders who are searching for a new package of budget cuts. They need this in order to secure bail-out funds – largely underwritten by the German taxpayer.

Sunday night saw the start of extremely violent riots in the Carlisle Circus area of Belfast. The riots were a result of sectarian clashes, and are linked to a republican parade that took place nearby a loyalist protest. Rioters hurled petrol bombs, stones, bottles, fireworks and rocks toward police lines. They even hijacked a van before pushing it towards police lines!

While on a kayak trip down the Amazon River, a young South African adventurer was ambushed by a pair of youths. His attackers shot him three times and left him for dead but, despite his serious wounds, he got up and ran 5km to the nearest village to receive help.
Last year saw a lot of incidents where UK public transport users were being racially abused by fellow commuters. Some of these moments even got caught on camera and went viral. This is a sad, tragic day for humanity. Anders Behring Breivik – the guy who massacred 77 people (the majority of them teenagers) in Norway last year – is busy being sentenced as we speak. The court has found him to be sane and sentenced him to a mere 21 years in prison, MINUS the 445 days he already spent in custody. Upon hearing his fate, he smiled as this is exactly what he was hoping for.
