Thai Villagers Capture And Interrogate Google Street View Driver They Believe To Be A Spy

According to a report, a group of 20 villagers from Sa-eab, in Northern Thailand, blocked one of the Street View cars, interrogated the driver, and demanded he swear on a statue of Buddha that he wasn’t up to no good.

It’s that time of the year again. The Earth has passed through the orbital path of the Swift-Tuttle comet, and we are still alive! Big sigh of relief. This has been happening for almost 2,000 years, and we still haven’t come in contact with the comet. In fact, it’s estimated that we won’t come into contact until 3044. Shame, future descendants.

4,000 Years Of World History Neatly Condensed Into One Map [PIC]

This is impressive. 4,000 years of world history have been condensed to fit onto a single map, created by John B. Sparks and printed in 1931 by Rand McNally. The 1,5 metre map was advertised as “clear, vivid and shorn of elabouration”. The Histomap displays four thousand year’s of World history, and with the use of colour empahised “how the power of various ‘peoples’ evolved throughout history”.

Last year, over 2,500 respondents participated in the SA National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, the results of which were published on Tuesday. The survey showed that 22% of South African children between the ages of two and five are either overweight or obese – that’s 10% higher than in the United States. On average, 60% of women aged 50 years and above have waist measurements of 88cm or more.
