In the final episode of this season of Rugby Vibe, Steve and his guest, Phillip Venter consider the personnel that South African rugby has at its disposal as it moves into the future. Following on from last week, Steve covers his pick of forward players. Proudly brought to you by:
Orion Cold Storage, a Cape Town-based food distributor, has been caught red-handed lying about an extensive range of food products destined for shop shelves. Undercover footage recorded by an employee on his cellphone between February and August this year shows an employee “blessing” food as Halaal when it clearly isn’t.
Ever since the first teaser trailer of The Dark Knight Rises hit the internet in July, fans have been scouring the online landscape looking for more sneak peeks to satisfy their insatiable desires for more bat-related awesomeness. Over the past weekend some lucky followers got exactly what they were hoping for.
Conan O’Brien returned to New York last week for the first time since his falling out with the NBC – not only to rub his recent success in his former employers’ collective faces, but also to preside over the first same-sex marriage performed on late-night television. Because I guess that’s worth making a big deal over.
This is an absolute must-see! This guy deliberately creates fake profiles of underage girls online. He then enters chat rooms and look for pedophiles and invite them to meet in person. When they show up, he confronts them dressed as Batman. He also films the incident and puts the video up on the internet. Check out his first four “victims” inside.
Seth dodges highly botoxed women in Jaguars, and shows you a short cut from Benmore to Hyde Park, without using Grayston Drive and Sandton Drive. Top secret information is leaked, where he shows you a zone that skips the infamous traffic lights onto William Nicol Drive.
Hoo. Santa Cruz surfer Barbara Roettger got way up close and personal with a pod of humpback whales when she unwittingly found herself in the middle of a lunge feeding session; two massive whales popped up right next to the surfer and her kayak friends, seemingly out of nowhere. It’s pretty rad.
Remember a few months back when the local rags were full of news about Hollywood stars, Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington seen out and about in the Mother City filming an upcoming action flick? Well, check out the fruit of those labours after the jump!
Other than the obvious benefits of the various social networks out there; networking, re-connecting and event-planning, amongst other things, recently they have become a serious law-enforcement tool. In the most recent case, New Jersey police used Facebook to track down suspects in a vicious assault case involving a machete wielding madman.
In this week’s installment of Tech Vibe, Ryan gets his hands on the vaunted iPhone4S, Apple’s latest update to its line of famed smartphones. Ryan O’Connor chats to Gaynor McArthur of DigiCape to find out when the 4S will arrive in South Africa, how much we can expect to pay for it, and whether it […]
It turns out Michael Jackson’s use of Propofol on drip was widely acknowledged in Hollywood circles as far back as 2009. In fact, all the stars were trying to get their hands on it. In an excerpt from the online reality show “The Pauly Shore Tapes,” Hollywood actor Pauly Shore discusses the drug Diprivan and […]

Jordy Smith (who recently signed with Buchulife) and Dusty Payne in Round 1 of the Rip Curl Pro Search in San Francisco get scared out of the water by a big shark. I think his name was Bruce. Follow the link to check it out. Video contains bonus footage of Jordy dancing and singing “Staying […]
There is something about real-life events that movies will never be able to duplicate. This video, taken in Brazil, shows federal police officers smashing a car into a light plane at high speed! The plane contained smuggled goods, and by crashing into its wing, the cops was able to thwart it’s takeoff.
We thoroughly enjoyed this new video made by our buddies over at Shoestring Productions, for Triumph (bras, not the motorbikes). They placed a hidden camera in the cleavage of a fairly busty model and sent her off, cruising around the waterfront. The results speak for themselves..
Howz this vibe, a plane landed perfectly without wheels in Poland! It took off from New York. Storyful reports: A Boeing 767 carrying over 200 passengers from New York’s Newark Airport made an emergency landing in Warsaw, Poland, on Tuesday. Video footage showed the Polish Airlines plane https://www.aldaorg.net/buy-accutane/ touching down on the runway without landing […]
You guys remember Alpha Dog, the terrifying robot dog that Boston Dynamics built for the US military? Well they’re over terrifying robot dogs, and have moved on to terrifying robot people. Hence ‘PETMAN,’ their awful test dummy for demonstrating how chemical protection suits might affect soldiers trying to run, do push-ups or kill all humans.
Zinzi wakes up to find that his dad, Pauly Shore, has disappeared. When he finally finds him, Pauly is preoccupied with his audition for a Disney cartoon. Lately, Google has been having a great deal of fun with their doodles. They have decided to wish us all a happy Halloween by creating a short time-lapse video of some of their employees carving out six particularly large pumpkins at their headquarters in Mountain View, California.
Last month, part-time skydiving instructor Alex Torres was fired from his job after he made a sex tape of him and the company’s receptionist in an airplane before jumping out in tandem and continuing the act midair. But luckily for them the Federal Aviation Administration won’t press charges, because they did not “distract the pilot from concentrating on his flying.”
Seth shows you how to get from Claremont to Rondebosch, without dealing with the traffic. You may think you know this route, but we assure you, you don’t. The end reveals a spicy secret twist. It’s mind-blowing.

Ciro blames the scarcity of the luxury SUVs on fat bankers in wall street, who used all of our money to buy small islands, and furnish their offices with polar bear rugs. Ciro’s solution? Replacing this void with the station wagon. Enter the Audi A4 Avant Sportline, a station wagon that’s nothing like those wood-paneled […]
If you’re still searching for a costume, in the hopes that you’ll win that bartab for best dressed this Halloween, you’d better hope this guy doesn’t rock up to the same party. Not only does it look like a DSLR, it’s fully functional as well. It actually snaps a photo, accompanied by a flash, and displays the image at the back.
This week Steve touches on the tangible sense of relief felt by the average New Zealander as the pressure to win the Rugby World Cup finally lifts. Steve also looks forward to this weekend’s Currie Cup Final between the international players of the Sharks, and the youth and cheek of the Lions. It’s a great […]
This is pretty badass – footage of a Gauteng biker assessing a motorcycle rally course for the Amageza Challenge and taking a short detour midway through to save a calf drowning in a nearby canal. In the event that you’ve grown tired of Gaddafi footage, and would like to watch something awesome instead.
Seth takes you from Linden to Town, without using Barry Hertzog. In this case the scenic route is also the quickest route. Seth takes you through Greenside, dodging potholes and prawns, arriving at Joburg Theatre in record time.
It turns out publishing classified diplomatic files online isn’t all that lucrative! Whistle blowing site, WikiLeaks has announced that they’re pausing their publishing process to concentrate on raising funds. Julian Assange claims that the financial “blockade” mounted by Visa, MasterCard and other companies, has forced Wikileaks to “temporarily suspend its publishing operations and aggressively fundraise.”
Microsoft has been on a fancy-user-interface-technology kick this week, between the fancy touch-screen projectors and electronic fabric announcements – but the Holodesk sort of wins at the moment, at least for those of us who think 3D environments you can manipulate with your hands are cool.
I’ve had that “Cry Just A Little” tune by Bingo Players (listen here) stuck in my head after hearing it on Ian F’s morning show. I knew that the chorus they sampled was from way back in my youth, but I couldn’t quite work it out. You know the one: I know Caught up in […]
