I’m sure putting a diamond on the front of a car that had a very good chance of crashing seemed a good idea at the time. In hindsight, probably not so much. Surely Danny Ocean could have just stolen another one?

The new engines that are coming in to Formula 1 this year are ridiculous. So ridiculous, in fact, that Formula 1 has decided not to call it an ‘engine’ but rather, a ‘power unit’.

Wheels24 has reported that Formula 1 boss, Bernie Ecclestone has reiterated his desire for an African Grand Prix, and he wants it in Cape Town. I want to be in Cape Town. I’ve been offered Durban but I think we would be better off in Cape Town. Shem, Durbs. We still love you. But Durban […]
Remember last year’s Top Gear Festival in Durban’s sexual Moses Mabhida Stadium? We do. There was a world record-breaking loop-the-loop, if memory serves. It would be difficult for the 2013 edition to top that. But just when you thought it couldn’t possibly get any better, they drop Mika Hakkinen on us. Remember Mika Hakkinen? The […]

In terms of advertising, I would rather watch a race car driver catching little balls in a car going 180 miles an hour, than a dog talking from a bakkie. It’s a little silly, but definitely worth a watch, even if it is just to hear how genuinely excited Coulthard gets when he catches the ball.

I was grabbing a couple poached eggs at Cecconi’s with The Big H just off Saville Row – Mayfair – this weekend. We spotted a new white Range Rover Evoque struggling to park opposite us. The driver was a Brazilian woman and, after a few attempts, her companion jumped out to help direct her. What […]
Imagine this breathtaking moment – a grid full of Formula One cars, revving their engines and setting off with the New York City skyline as their backdrop. And by ‘badly injured’ I mean surgeons had to reattach veins, tendons and muscles in his arm to save it.
If you were sitting on the fence with that condo purchase on Greenpoint, now really is the time to put an offer on the table. A number of consortiums, most notably the functionally-named Cape Town Grand Prix Bid Company are making bids to bring the F1 Grand Prix to Cape Town.

The same scandal which has resulted in Flavio’s recent immediate resignation […]
