BREAKING: David Bullard Lays Criminal Charges Against Mondli Makhanya

Former Sunday Times editor and chairperson of the South African National Editors Forum, Mondli Makhanya, has been charged with the criminal offences of forgery and uttering, fraud, and attempting to obstruct the course of justice. Miss Universe Competition To Officially Allow Transgendered Contestants

Last month Jenna Talackova was disqualified from taking part in the Miss Universe beauty pageant because she is transgendered. But the decision was reversed last week, and even better news has just broke: a rule change will allow any transgender women to participate in the beauty pageant from next year onwards.

An earthquake with an initial magnitude of 8.9 has struck under the sea off Indonesia’s northern Aceh province near the island of Sumatra this morning. The quake triggered a tsunami warning across the Indian Ocean region. The tremor was felt as far away as Singapore, Thailand and India.

London Court Grants Dewani’s Appeal – Extradition Put On Ice

The British high court has ruled that Shrien Dewani’s extradition to South Africa to face murder charges for orchestrating the honeymoon murder of his wife, Anni, should be halted due to his poor mental health. Dewani’s legal team was appealing an extradition order signed by Home Secretary, Theresa May.

Wine tastings. To state the bleeding amputated and mangled obvious, wine tastings are generally the best places to learn about wine if you don’t have an overflowing bank account, or an incredibly well stocked cellar. I can’t recommend going to tastings strongly enough if you are keen to broaden your vinous horizons. That being said, I thought I would give you a little guide of what not to do when you are there. For the most part, the parameters extend to everyday life, and can be summed up neatly as “don’t be a douche”.
