I want to say that this is one for the laydezz but I must be honest, most guys’ will want to watch this too. Just imagine Jimmy Kimmel, Josh Hartnett, Lenny Kravits, Ben Affleck, Matthew McConaughey, McDreamy and a few other surprises all in one video. [VIDEO]
What do you reckon is shown in this picture? If you said “household dust under high-powered electron microscope”, you would be correct. A book by Brandon Broll hits us with stunning electron microscope images of insects, human body parts and household items, making even things like the bacteria on your tongue look pretty amazing. More inside.
A few days ago I saw a post on Gizmodo that asked readers to send in video clips of them saying “Katie, will you marry me?” The result was the single best use of crowdsourcing that we’ve seen to date.

God, I love living in the future. Don’t you? Four driverless, electric vans arrived in Shanghai yesterday after a 13,000km ‘test drive’ from Italy. They had no maps, and they stopped to pick up a hitchhiker on the way.
It’s one more sleep till the weekend and I know that if you are feeling anything like I am, it just cannot come fast enough. So I thought I would pick you up a bit and give you some awesome inspiration – either that or you are just going to feel even more like shit after this video, realising you will never be this awesome. But, I am willing to take that risk for this video.
Axe Cop is different to every other comic, if for nothing else than it’s written by Malachai Nicolle, whose name probably means nothing to you because he is only five years old! With characters like Avocado Man and Dinosaur Soldier, it’s a shoe-in to become my new favourite thing.
Really. I know that the internet is full of videos of cats doing interesting things or babies falling over or hilarious local news networks, but these are five minutes that will be better spent than making photocopies or getting the Jenkin’s report done or whatever it is you employed people do.
Here we have Galifianakis getting interviewed by radio host Gordon Keith to promote It’s Kind Of A Funny Story – and the awkward pauses and non sequiturs should be familiar to those of you keeping up with your 2oceans assignments.

What could be better than having Chris Rock verbally abuse your ex for breaking up with you? Nothing! Especially when he begins with, “You dirty motherf_ _ _er…”
The End Of The Line is this year’s most vaunted environmental documentary. Brought to South Africa by Investec, the internationally-acclaimed film is a stark and uncompromising look at our systematic pillaging of our oceans, the effects of which will hit us harder and sooner than we anticipated. 2oceansvibe Radio will be chatting to the film’s producer and author of the book by the same name, Charles Clover, as well as giving away ten tickets to the film. Details after the jump.
Two French students, calling themselves the ‘Niqabitches,’ have posted a video of themselves strolling through Paris wearing the niqab with hot pants and high heels, in protest of France’s recent burka ban. They seem like very nice young ladies.
The Neiman Marcus Christmas Book is known for things that most of us probably couldn’t afford. So it was quite a moment when 100 hot, limited edition Camaro Convertibles worth $75,000 each sold out in three minutes.
Please enjoy this vibe. The dog is saying “My owner doesn’t understand me”. Well, that’s cute. But it’s wrong.
Mercedes-Benz have really spoilt us with the likes of the Gullwing. But now, they bring you two concept models that will leave you pretty darn wet if you ask me!
The Simpsons have been hiding a religious agenda, apparently. Sunday’s edition of L’Osservatore Romano, the Vatican’s daily broadsheet, declared that ”Not many people know it, and he does everything he can to hide it. But it’s true, Homer J. Simpson is Catholic.” I guess drawing conclusions from nonexistent evidence isn’t entirely new to the region.
Bugatti is back on top! After losing its title as the world’s fastest production car to the American-built Aero SSC Ultimate, the Veyron has hit back with the Super Sport!
Remember watching Back to the Future and Terminator or RoboCop and thinking that one day you will have a flying car or cyborg abilities? Well what happened to these inventions exactly? And seriously, where are our jetpacks?
Zach sits down with Bruce Willis; one of the stars of the new movie Red, to talk about the 80s and some of the prestigious awards he has been awarded. Damn you have to love it!
Ed Chamberlin is Sky Sports’ elite football presenter. That’s right, he’s a pretty big name on British telly. Funnily enough, we can’t shake the memory of him as the beloved stooge of Founders House, Bishops, in 1994. We chat to him about the Currie Cup, the Liverpool shenanigans, and the state of English rugby, live on 2oceansvibe Radio.
There was much excitement the other day after we posted a picture of the man who is affectionately known as ‘Papa Smurf.’ He was dominating Rocking The Daisies at the time, and since then we have received a deluge of emails and pics. So we thought we would jump on board the P-Train and give you a whole lot of this Cape Town legend. After the jump.
Cape locals Glenn Ward and Dries Millard are about to embark on a road trip of epic proportions – they’ll be undertaking a marathon trek from Saldanha to Cape Town. That’s a distance of 142km. Now I don’t know about you, but the daily trip to the water cooler is a significant achievement for me. Oh yeah, small detail. They’ll be doing it in wheel chairs.
Volkswagen just keep coming back for more! Remember the family-oriented advertisment from the good old days with David Kramer? Or the ones featuring “I remember the days of my life” by Andre de Villiers? Yeah, this advertisement is nothing like that, but damn it has its place.
Famed and cultishly-revered British street artist, Banksy, has struck gold. He story-boarded and animated the intro for this Simpsons episode, and it is appropriately entertaining. What a lot of people don’t know, though, is that he used the 2oceansvibe HQ as a real-world inspiration for some of the intro scenes. Guess which ones. [VIDEO]
It is the most powerful woman in the world’s 25 birthday (not Michelle Obama) and it is only fitting that we celebrate her here on 2oceansvibe. She is after all He-Man’s twin sister!
Can your brain even compute that headline? I mean seriously, WTF? And you know what kind of basejumping they’re doing? It’s not the one where they jump and pull the wire immediately – no, no – it’s the one where they wear a bat-suit, fly down the face of the mountain for a while and THEN they pull the wire. Insane! Check out the video!
Die Antwoord have released their latest music vid on the interwebs, as they’re prone to. They’re pushing the usual Die Antwoord boundaries with copious bad haircuts, gold teeth, permanent markers, penises, tokoloshes, and handcuffs.
Oh yeah, probably NSFW, but in a comical, ridiculous, “is that a huge wooden knob?” kind of way [VIDEO].
Mariah Carey isn’t exactly humble when exhibiting her lady lumps. So how does one reconcile the flaunting of flesh, international stardom and conservative countries? Answer: Censorship by cat. Beware. Awesomeness after the jump.
You have never seen feet dance on pedals like this before – Walter Rohrl driving the Audi Quattro – people flying out of the way!
And the awesome background tune!
You HAVE to watch this! Exclamation mark!
I’ve been accused of choosing form over substance in my time. Vacillating between the timeless elegance of a 1960s Porsche Speedster over a 2009 Audi being the most recent example. While it didn’t, the timeless very nearly usurped the practical. (Implicit in this is that I couldn’t get both, which is a topic for another day.)
