Modern life, we love you so much. It was reported earlier this week that all 11 passengers survived the midair collision of two light aircraft in the States. The survival of most of the people aboard the planes was no doubt thanks to the fact that they were all preparing to skydive from one of the craft, and as such all had parachutes strapped to their backs. And yes, someone got it on video.

Surely watching a series on your tablet during takeoff won’t send the plane into the Atlantic? Happily, airline officials have begun to address this – with the US on the verge of relaxing these laws considerably.

Gautrain has announced intentions to roll out seven new routes on the service. As of yet, Gauteng’s leadership haven’t approved the new routes, and if they were approved, it isn’t entirely clear who would construct the routes; Gautrain, or the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa. Long story short, Joburg’s roads are now e-screwed, and it would be wise not to hold your breath for Gautrain development.

77-year-old John Wildey was the only passenger aboard a Cessna 172 flying from Skegness to Sandtoft Airfield, near Doncaster, when the pilot fell gravely ill and passed out. John naturally did what any true legend does and landed the plane himself, completely in the dark.
