When I mentioned to the Friendly store owner last weekend that they should look into stocking the Robertsons Salt & Vinegar seasoning (I use it on popcorn – like at the movies), I didn’t expect it to appear on the shelves so soon. One week later, BANG, there it was. Nice job, Friendly store.
So summer’s here folks. I’m not sure if you’ve been noticing the incremental increase in temperature, the gradually lengthening days, the proliferation of billionaires on yachts off of Clifton – the usual tell tale indicators that a change has been effected in the seasons. And you know what? Maybe, just maybe its time you learned to surf
Drop what you’re doing, get on your feet and put your hands together: Mark Zuckerberg joined the Giving Pledge movement and is donating most of his wealth to charity. Bravo. He joins Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Michael Bloomberg and Ted Turner – truly selfless individuals with some of the biggest hearts in the world.
Every now and then I drop one of these public service announcements, because I love you and you should know about them. Love is an action, not an emotion, okay?
Think about that. I’m acting out my love for you.
So this is sort of interesting – some photos have appeared of Emma Stone with her new blonde get-up, in preparation for the Gwen Stacey role in Spider-Man Whatever. What’s interesting is that a number of people have commented on how much she looks like a Steve Ditko character – Ditko being Spider-Man’s co-creator.
Daddy Cool has bestowed his generosity on all of us, gang. If you’d like to enjoy the dulcet tones of Seth Rotherham’s voice, and learn about how to make your life better through the use of tabs on your browser, then make sure you click through for the following public service announcement.
Michael Bay, for those of you who missed it, directed Transformers. Transformers turned Megan Fox into one of earth’s hottest women. Bang, just like that! Now imagine what a maniac like Bay could do, if asked to direct and capture the Victoria’s Secret supermodels? Including Candice Swanepoel. Ja, exactly. Best you follow the link.
Who would have thought that Roodepoort was aware of the word ‘biatches,’ let alone actively catering exclusive for ‘real biatches’ within the lifestyle boutiques arena. We have so much to learn about this part of South Africa. But there is so little time. I just went to the Biatches website and WOW – you gotta check this out. After the link..
I have been dying for these pics from the GUESS fashion show which was held at Caprice at the end of last week. It was on the beach and was jam-packed with beautiful angels and slicksters, all melting into the Atlantic Ocean and Camps Bay sunset. 14 beautiful models dressed in the latest GUESS threads took to the ramp as table mountain glowed in the dusk. Click for the carnage..

This weekend saw some rather unfavourable weather conditions. The South Easter unleashed her fury over Camps Bay yesterday, and so Clifton 4th it was. Still, it wasn’t ideal, as the gusts hit every umbrella on the beach, sending the ice-cream men running. But nothing could disturb these beauties…Check the earphones.
The Italian Football side did it for D&G. Helen Mirren et al did it for a local hospital in the movie Calendar Girls. Now, UCT’s MC Marais XV have stripped off for charity and an annual tour. Spotting a prawn in full attire with a helmet on, in a public place, will alarm even the most relaxed individual. But imagine how it felt for Nick H, as he wandered through Media24’s reception area and was presented with THIS! In his own workplace! Poor thing. The irony of the ‘No Firearms’ sign (a […]

Kim Kardashian is dead. Not really. I know, I also got excited but the fact is she’s just pretending to be dead to raise money for people affected by Aids in Africa and India, specifically. Today is World AIDS Day. Make a note of that.

Living in the Cape comes with many bonuses, not least of being some of our local population’s tradition of knocking out their front teeth. Personally, I think it’s very sexy . But besides from that, it seems a lot of our population are missing more than just their front teeth. This sign was spotted at […]
I can just imagine what it must be like touring with these angels. I would love nothing more than to be one of the girls – prancing around in lingerie and singing pop hits using our hairbrushes as mock-microphones, as we bitch about other lesser models backstage! You gotta see this video – it’s HOT HOT HOT!
2oceansviber and extreme marathon runner, Ryan Sandes has become the very first person in the biological history of human kind to run and win all four of the 4 Deserts marathon series. The last race, which took place in sub-zero Antarctica, saw Sandes take control of the the lead early on, and never relinquish it. There you have it, conclusive proof that 2oceansvibers are stronger, smarter, and more likely to posses the necessary skills to inspire submission than any other group of people.
Hearken, The Cape Town Festival of Beer approaches. A lot of people have asked, does Cape Town really need another beer festival? We’d like to point out that what Cape Town is getting is a Festival of Beer, not a beer festival. What’s the difference? The former is sophisticated and fun. The latter never is. Now, would a certain 2oceansviber like a 2oceansvibe Festival of Beer special? You would? Click through for details.

The teaser trailer for Cowboys & Aliens is out. The title may be a little worrisome for you, and maybe you’re afraid that, with Harrison Ford being there, this is going to be some sort of Morning-Glory-esque weep-fest starring Rachel McAdams. I put it to you that this movie is going to be the best thing in your life when it gets released.
Fellow Capetonians! You may, or may not be aware that Bafana Bafana will be clashing with the United States of America on the hallowed field of Cape Town Stadium this very evening at 21h30. A genius new website has launched which seems to be in full support of a cause that 2oceansvibe has championed for many years. PleaseShutUp.com clearly and humorously outlines the grossly antisocial, selfish and ridiculous behaviour found in modern day society – that of making and receiving random unplanned and unexpected phone calls.
