I went to the Taste of Cape Town last year. It melted my face off. And by the looks of the line up, this year will repeat the performance without very much effort at all. Coffee cocoa ribs, cured Blesbok and Memories of a Sweet Shop are some of the things you can put in your mouth this year. And you know what else? Protesters began marching from Woodstock and Cape Town Central train stations to the Western Cape Legislature in the CBD at around 10:50 this morning. Thus far the march has been characterised by heavy police presence, arson (allegedly by protestors), and stun grenades on Sir Lowry Road between Woodstock and the CBD. We’ll keep you posted.
