Charlie Sheen may have left Twitter, but the former Two and a Half Men star is far from done making a noise. He has just announced that he will be donating one percent of all the earnings from his new FX show, Anger Management, to US troops.
The United Service Organisations is a non-profit organisation that provides welfare and recreational type to US servicemen. Sheen has guaranteed his donations to number at least $1 million, with no cap on donations. This will be the USO’s largest single donation from an individual, as well as the first time they will be receiving a profit share from an actor.
Sheen’s first donation of $250 000 will be made later this week in a private ceremony. The funds from his donations will be used towards an entertainment facility for injured troops in Bethesda, Maryland.
Turns out there’s more to winning than meets the eye.
