On Sunday Twitter aired its first ever TV commercials. The series of shorts are centered on America’s favourite past-time, Nascar racing, and push their new message: “See what he sees.” Click through to see the clips.
The clips feature Nascar driver Brad Keselowski, using his iPhone during various stages of a race and have creatively been called “Brad’s View”. The ads close-out with the caption: “See what he sees,” followed by a link to the official Nascar Twitter page. You can see them at the bottom of this post.
The page is not a single Twitter account, but rather an amalgamation of feeds which all center around the motor sport. As TechCrunch notes,
They’re also a pitch to a whole bunch of other brand marketers as a way to show off what Twitter’s hashtag pages are capable of.
The curated page will likely pave the way for many other events, both in the sporting arena and otherwise.
The tagline makes me think of a post from a while back promoting the versatility and abilities of GoPro cameras, and there’s definitely an area of overlap which is just waiting to be plundered.
