The board of inquiry has turned in it’s 113 page report whether or not Cele is fit to hold office. The report was handed to the Office of the Presidency on Sunday, but has now been leaked to the media.
The report recommends that President Jacob Zuma should fire suspended national police commissioner Bheki Cele as he is unfit to hold office. The president has declined to make any comment, saying only that consultation regarding the report was still taking place.
He has stated that any talk of a successor is premature.
