2010 L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate a “Raging Success” – Saturday saw the annual L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate horse race take place at Kenilworth Race Course. The favourite Pocket Power took the main race, as the real favourites, Just Jinjer and Goldfish rocked out at the concert at the end of the event! Humans and supermodels alike danced the night away! Goldfish Goes Platinum – Having dominated the concert at the L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate the night before, Goldfish went on to play their Sunday night gig at La Med in Cape Town, where Sony SA surprised them with a platinum record, indicating a milestone of sales for their Perceptions of Pacha album. Congrats, boys!
Virgin Active Blocks 2oceansvibe – Twitter was abuzz on Saturday morning as reports came in of their being no access to 2oceansvibe at Virgin Active gyms. Mr. Delivery Lies – Having eaten a mid-week Butlers Pizza, we took a chance on Sunday night and ordered from Mr. Delivery. After an hour, the driver arrived with the food, claiming that he didn’t bring the Cokes we ordered, because the 7 Eleven didn’t have any. Umm, that’s a lie. Three hours and five phone calls later, the Cokes arrived. Never again.
