Ever since the first person flung themselves from a life-threatening height only to be saved by a stretchy cord or a makeshift parachute, thrillseekers have constantly sought to push the limits of extreme sports. A new promotional video for the Mini JCW Countryman takes things to the next level. Think car + human kite. Click through for the video.
Whoever the tattooed daredevil is that’s flapping behind the Mini, he’s got some serious cajones. The 162 kW all-wheel drive hot hatch/SUV makes quick work of the rugged terrain while the “passenger” flies along in tow.
Given the propensity of YouTubers to upload CGI-enhanced videos, there will no doubt be those who claim that this, too, is fake, but personally I’d like to believe it’s real. Mostly because of the pure badassedness of the attempt.
