One of the exciting things about being an innovative company in this ever-changing digital space, is when one of your ideas/people gets picked up by a bigger, mainstream company. If you were wondering where Steven Morris, our anchor on the mobile-friendly 2ov TV (2ov.tv) show Rugby Vibe (see past episodes here) disappeared to, he has been picked up by SuperSport! How cool is that? Steve is now hosting a short online weekly show on their website.

The show, ‘Working the Blind Side,’ is a tweaked version of 2ov TV’s Rugby Vibe and uses near-identical layout and delivery with green screen, except the overlay is now video, instead of stills (they have copyright of that footage) allowing a more exciting experience. So a big hats off to SuperSport for knowing where to spot both innovative ideas, and the talent that delivered it in the first place! Naspers also poached our sales guy a couple weeks ago – needless to say we are flattered beyond belief.

Naspers aren’t allowed to get involved in radio because of media laws, but perhaps because this is digital and on the internet, then this type of radio doesn’t fall within those laws and we could expect a similar thing coming out of Naspers? That would be so cool!
