There have been two incidents recently where “rehabilitated” dogs have attacked people. Each time it sparked online discussions about whose fault it is – the owner, the dog or the victim? But these situations are much more complex. Check out this clip of a dog biting a news anchor, unprovoked, in the face during a recent interview.
The dog’s name is Max, a three-year-old Argentine Mastiff. He being interviewed, along with his owner and a firefighter on an American news bulletin. The firefighter saved Max after falling into the freezing cold Smith Reservoir in Colorado. In the video below, the news anchor is seen kneeling on the floor petting the dog’s neck, when suddenly Max bares his teeth, lunges and bites her in the face.
Max’s owner will be cited for leash law violations, not having control of the dog and not vaccinating it for rabies. In addition to that, Max could be put down as well.
Who should be blamed for this?
