The Internet, it has become the “place” where most of us spend most of our day, every day. Cluttered with memes, celeb scandals and regrettable pics on social networks, it’s easy to get caught up in the daily flood of online activity, missing all those “important” posts. Thankfully, all of 2011’s most important online events have been captured in one amazing artwork.
For the second year running, the SYZYGY Group, a London based ideas agency, has created a wonderful artwork comprising all of 2011’s most prominent internet happenings. As with last year’s creation, the picture is shrouded in mystery, and it’s up to netizens like you and I to determine what each individual image refers to.
To make things a little bit more interesting, SYZYGY are giving away two of the 100 limited edition A1 prints of the picture each day over the next few weeks. Pretty awesome, wouldn’t you say? All you have to do to be eligible is follow them on Twitter and post a link of the picture along with the hashtag #20things, it’s that easy!
In the meantime, take a good long look at the picture and hit us up in the comments to let us know what you recognise. I’ve spotted a couple of easy ones to get us started, the Darth Vader kid from the VW ad, Nyan Cat flying through the middle of it all and the lulzsec guy cruising in from the left. Come on team, together we can do this!
