Just in time for your binge-watching session, you’ll also be able to rock a pair of PUMA sneakers from their collab with the hit Korean Netflix series. Lekker timing, hey?
The Squid Game x PUMA collection brings three classic kicks to the party: Suede, Palermo, and Easy Rider. The Suede is a proper treat for the eyes, decked out in yellow, blue, and two shades of pink, with a multi-texture suede upper. It’s inspired by the show’s trippy staircase chamber—you know, the one that feels like a bad acid trip? Even the insoles are covered in a graphic homage to it.
Then there’s the Easy Rider in emerald green with maroon accents, giving a nod to the competitors’ uniforms. Plus, it comes with a bonus: a rubber keychain featuring The Doll. She’s even repping the kicks herself, with her menacing laser eyes glowing on the mismatched insoles. Moerse creepy, but it’s all part of the vibe.
To finish off the footwear lineup, there’s the white and burnt orange Palermo, which might just be taking a little inspo from the infamous cookie challenge. The insole has an animated graphic of a few contestants getting stuck in the sticky situation, and if you flip up the Palermo-branded flap at the mid-foot, you’ll spot another graphic—this time with a guard thrown into the mix. Talk about taking the challenge to your feet.
There’s no doubt Netflix is going all in for Squid Game Season 2, and they’re pulling out all the stops with some seriously on-point collabs. From apparel to food and collectables, they’ve got it all covered. While the obvious highlight is the official Squid Game x PUMA collection, dropping on December 12, that’s just the start—Crocs is also releasing limited-edition Classic Clogs, all inspired by the show’s killer aesthetic.
Of course, the most iconic shoe tied to Squid Game is the all-white Vans Slip-On, worn by the contestants. In fact, after the series first aired, searches for these crisp kicks spiked by a massive 97%. So whether you’re keen on the Crocs, the Pumas, or going old school with the Vans, Netflix is making sure your feet are just as ready for the second season as you are.
The Squid Game x PUMA Suede and Easy Rider have both been confirmed for December 12, release through PUMA’s website and select third-party retailers. Pricing for the Suede is set at $90 (around R1,700) and the Easy Rider is $110 (around R2,100). The Palermo is also expected to be released at the same time for $100 (1,900) but has not been officially announced.
