Susana Kennedy has been spreading the word of a child abduction across social media, stating that her biological father, a man named Carlos Rebelo, was abusive towards her and that she knows “what he is capable of”.
She recently spoke to CapeTalk, saying that she had been estranged from Carlos for many years until a friend showed her a missing child poster of a little girl named Eva Tembo.
Now she’s started a social media campaign to find the missing girl, noting that she was last seen together with her abductor in Cape Town.
One of Susana’s first posts about Eva provides horrific details about Carlos’ possible criminal intent:
“He is my biological father and SEXUALLY ABUSED me until the age of almost 11. He was also physically abusive to my mom and that is why she divorced him when I was nearly 3”
“We have been estranged for many years, the last time I saw him he locked me in his house and tried to catch me, but I escaped.”
“HE HAS KIDNAPPED a A LITTLE GIRL called Eva, she is six years old and I need to get her to safety.”
She is pleading for people to keep an eye out and contact authorities immediately:

Cape {town} Etc notes how Eva reportedly went missing on 1 July in Kensington, Johannesburg. She was last seen with her mother’s employer, Carlos Rebelo, who drives an older model gold Mercedes Benz with the registration number HBN940GP.
They were reportedly spotted twice in Cape Town last week.
Eva’s father, Michael, told CapeTalk that Eva’s mother and Rebelo started arguing after the man offered to take Eva to school (he was also paying her school fees).
However, Eva later revealed that they had been going to the park instead of school. Eva’s mother tried to stop him from taking her to ‘school’ which caused a fight, and the police got involved, before the abduction.
The family is still waiting to hear from the police.
On her Instagram page, Susana warned anyone who spots the pair to not approach Carlos directly as “he is a black belt karate instructor. He also could be armed, I don’t know,” she said.
“He is very volatile,” she added. “He is not safe to approach – watch from a distance and call for help.”

In another Instagram post, Susana explains that Eva and her mother have been living with Carlos for years.
“This is not a case of somebody abducting somebody and tying them up in a cupboard. This is a case of somebody who’s grown attached to a child and has bonded with the child as if they are their own child. She is not his daughter.”
She warns that although Carlos is close to 75, getting into a physical altercation with him “is not going to fix anything.”
“Getting him into custody and helping him get treatment and out of society will.”
