Slowly but surely, the reality of going so public with their personal qualms is hitting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who reportedly have ‘complicated feelings’ right now.

At the beginning of the month, Kate Middleton shared the joyful news of her completed chemotherapy treatment through a touching video, appearing alongside Prince William and their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

The Princess of Wales’s health update was met with an outpouring of support, and according to a recent report, Meghan Markle is said to be ‘genuinely happy’ for her. However, the report also suggests that behind the well-wishes, both Meghan and Prince Harry are grappling with some ‘complicated’ emotions.

A source told Closer Magazine that the Duchess of Sussex is “incredibly relieved” that Kate is doing well, further claiming that Harry and Meghan have “regrets over going public with their complaints about the family and Kate in particular”, per Mashable.

The source went on to add that Meghan feels things could have been handled more discreetly. “It’s not something she likes to dwell on, but of course watching Kate’s video brought it all to the surface,” added the insider.

The report also mentions that the Duchess of Sussex is upset that she and Kate are treated differently in public.

 The source added, “The video has left her feeling like she’s backed into a corner where there’s no way she can have that rapport with the public that Kate does.” The insider also stated that Meghan is ‘genuinely happy that Kate is better’.

In March 2024, Kate announced that she had been diagnosed with cancer after undergoing a ‘planned abdominal surgery’ in January. Given the latest update, she is now cancer-free.
