There seems to be zero love lost between Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell and guitarist Dave Navarro after the singer found himself being dragged offstage by security after throwing a punch at the guitarist.
The incident occurred during the band’s concert in Boston, and in this era of ‘film everything’, the footage of Perry screaming at Navarro before taking a swing, has circulated widely.
The band was performing at the Leader Bank Pavilion in Boston when an altercation between the two bandmates broke out during a performance of ‘Ocean Size’ from the group’s 1988 album Nothing’s Shocking.
Farrell, 65, seemed agitated as he repeated what appeared to be a chant at the audience, before turning toward Navarro, 57, who was playing guitar, and repeating it toward him. Farrell then appeared to shout “F*** you!” as he shoulder-barged his bandmate, who put his arm against the lead singer’s chest in an attempt to hold him back.
Farrell then throws a punch at eye-lined Navarro before unceremoniously being carried offstage screeching like a banshee.

The band issued an apology and announced the cancellation of their next concert following the quarrel.
“We want to extend a heartfelt apology to our fans for the events that unfolded last night.”
No worries Jane, to be honest, the band ought to have hung up their instruments three bassists ago. It didn’t take long for pundits to drag the recently reunited Oasis into the chat either, seeing as stage fights are part of their show.
“Is this Oasis?”
Liam Gallagher was quick to point out that the lads were a bit more professional these days – despite bookies in the UK putting the odds at them NOT finishing their upcoming tour at 4 to 1.

Etty Lau Farrell, the spouse of the Jane’s Addiction singer, posted her own account of why the band’s show went pear-shaped on Friday night in Boston, saying that her husband “was upset about the band’s sound levels drowning out his vocals”, and that this led to his assault on seemingly unsuspecting guitarist Dave Navarro.
Shame, usually it’s the drummer that gets blamed for everything, though in this instance, bassist Eric Avery was also accused of “cheap shots” after allegedly putting the singer into a headlock and punching him three times while he was manhandled offstage.
Etty Lau says that Perry, who resembles a homeless Caitlin Jenner these days, was “a crazed beast” for a good half-hour after the concert before he broke down and “cried and cried.”
So long Jane’s Addiction, and thanks for all the forgettable music.
