It couldn’t be better timing for a dance-off between the viral Ozzie Olympic breakdancer Raygun and Springboks coach, Rassie Erasmus ‘Jo-Han’.

The Boks and the Wallabies will square off again in their second consecutive Rugby Championship match on Saturday, 17 August, at the Optus Stadium in Perth, and supposedly in light of this, someone created a hilarious meme of two country reps showing off their dope dance moves.

Australia’s Rachael Gunn, AKA ‘Raygun’, went viral as soon as she was seen competing in the Paris Olympic breakdancing competition, flinging herself around in mesmerising moves like the ‘kangaroo’ and ‘crocodile’. Do yourself a favour and relish in her weirdness.

From a whirlwind of jokes and memes to relentless scrutiny of her alleged talent, the Australian has emerged as one of the most unforgettable figures of the Paris Games. But, The South African asks, are her moves any better than Springbok coach, Rassie Erasmus?

In more serious, but related news, Erasmus has made a host of changes to the squad set to face the Wallabies again this weekend, including giving Salmaan Moerat the captaincy and making Siya Kolisi sit this one out. Meanwhile, the three flyhalfs Handre Pollard, Manie Libbok and Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu are in the squad, albeit in different positions. Speaking in a press conference this week,  Rassie said:

“It is important for us to win the Rugby Champs. It would be fantastic to follow up last week’s performance with another win. It would be a slap in the face of the players selected if we thought they couldn’t be as good as last weekend”.

He added that this is not a move to disrespect Australia and is not the Boks being nonchalant.

“We have picked a team to win what we expect to be a tough game against a side that wants to bounce back,” he said.

“We are interested in seeing who steps up in Perth, where there are lots of South African and Aussie supporters. It will be tough; we are not expecting this game to be a walk in the park.”
