The second trailer for Joker: Folie à Deux has arrived, fresh from the Warner Bros. CineEurope trade show.
The audience in Barcelona got the very first taste of this explosive new trailer for Todd Phillips’ sequel to his billion-dollar-topping 2019 smash hit, as a build-up to the film’s release on October 4.
The first trailer – which debuted at CinemaCon in April – racked up 167 million views in its first 24 hours.
The second trailer shows more of Lady Gaga’s Harley Quinn and Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker origin stories and explosive antics.
Todd Phillips was in good company among the big names the studio enlisted to record special messages for CineEurope.
Joining him was Jack Black, who spoke from the set of the Minecraft movie:
Maggie Gyllenhaal shared a glimpse of her work on her sophomore feature, The Bride!, as Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan sent their regards from the mysterious set of their untitled gothic supernatural horror project. Meanwhile James Gunn, alongside David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan, took a break from filming DC’s Superman reboot, while Ewan McGregor and Anne Hathaway chimed in from the set of Flowervale Street:

Peter Jackson was also present to unveil extensive footage from The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim – the anime adventure that delves into the world of J.R.R. Tolkien events that take place before the iconic saga of The Lord of the Rings.
Bong Joon Ho and Robert Pattinson introduced a series of exclusive clips from Mickey 17. This sci-fi in which Pattinson plays multiple versions of himself is the Oscar-winning director’s first English-language feature and is due out in 2025.
Last but certainly not least, footage and behind-the-scenes shots from Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the long-awaited sequel to Tim Burton’s 1988 cult classic, was also unveiled for the first time, together with an on-stage performance from a troupe of dancing zombies.
The film, which brings back Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara alongside new stars Jenna Ortega, Justin Theroux and Monica Belluci, will be released in September.
