Here’s a bit of inspiration for your Friday morning. A 19-year old boy with no arms has just found out he has got into the university of his choice, having written his matric exams with his feet. Letlhogonolo Mafela, from Matshepe Village, North West has done his school and his family proud.
Letlhogonolo was born with no arms and learned to eat and write with his feet. Clearly a hard worker, his Grade 12 results were 74% in maths, 64% in Setswana, 71% in English, 74% in life orientation, 66% in life sciences and 43% in physical sciences.
He leaves Mutuba High School to study biological sciences at the North West University from 2012. Pretty awesome.
He also received a PC from the North West Department of Education for his achievement, while his local and district municipalities are donating R50 000 for him to attend university.
