Oscar might be out of prison, but he’s not off social media’s shitlist yet.
Following his release after serving only eight and a half years for the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, the Paralympian-turned-pariah has been holed up in his unce’s security estate, with the only ‘sightings’ of him being at church, where he is reportedly atoning for his crimes by sweeping floors.
However, Pistorius has now been spotted on his way to the parole office in Pretoria. He appeared to have lost weight and looked old, with grey and thinning hair, as a result of his time in the tjoekie, and as can be expected, social media was there to capture the moment.

Not everyone was happy to see him, with comments ranging from “Feel so sorry for Reeva’s mum”, to “He is Breathing She is NOT! HE SHOULD STILL BE IN PRISON!”
Some X users were sympathetic though, saying he should be left alone as he served his jail time.
@Dumehlezii wrote: “Nooo the guy has served his term and he learned from his mistake.”
@General_Sport7 wrote: “Wishing Oscar Pistorius all the best in his integration back into society.”
There were also some pointless observations:
of all the Paralympic athletes who murdered their wife, Oscar Pistorius is perhaps the most infamous

According to the Daily Mail UK, a friend of Reeva Steenkamp was unhappy upon seeing Pistorius smiling in public.
“It is very disturbing to see Pistorius smiling like he doesn’t have a care in the world,” said a friend who refused to be named. “If I could, I would wipe that smile off his face. I don’t know how he sleeps at night for what he did.”
Oscar is not allowed to conduct any interviews until 2029, as per his parole conditions, so for now, all he can do is just smile and wave and continue sweeping church floors.
