I bet you never thought you’d see the day when sexy and SAPS get used in the same sentence.
Several Saffas are swooning over this sexy cop after a picture of him in uniform went viral. This might just be one way for the South African Police Service to regain some respect.
Officer Devan Cox, originally from the Eastern Cape, is a constable in SAPS’ Flying Squad department and was a little surprised to see how much attention he’s received after one of his pictures started doing the rounds on social media.
The hot cop, who loves all things adventure, travelling, and hiking, spoke to Algoa FM about being suddenly thrust into the spotlight, per IOL.
It’s giving SWAT vibes!!………….

The hunky law enforcement officer rubbished rumours of being a model, saying that he is “strictly into the police and saving lives”. Well, he’s definitely making a lot of hearts race right now.
He also told the hosts of the breakfast show that he was a real person and not a ‘bot’ or an artificially generated model like the dozens that have cropped up on social media as famous virtual influencers.
In fact, Cox, who chases an active and healthy lifestyle, revealed that he is also a father.
“I am not married, but I am a father of two boys. So, a single dad,” he told the radio station.
Cue the ‘daddy’ jokes.
It is safe to say that the male-loving portion of Mzansi is not coping with this heat, with many thirsting over the popular officer and requesting that he be ‘transferred’ to their areas.
“Officer Devan Cox should be moved from East London and deployed to Johannesburg. The rising crime levels in the city need more personnel on the ground,” wrote one X (Twitter) user.
It’s wild out there:

Another commented that she had committed a crime by looking at his picture and that he must come and arrest her.
@Zimkhitha Cleo Ntuli commented on TikTok “Which law must I break so that they send you to arrest me Sir? ” while @Lizelle Kruger said: “All I’m saying is I drove 120km/h in a 60 zone…”
Going as @driven_by_dev on TikTok, Cox has blessed 17,8 thousand followers with some saucy law enforcement content.

I doubt there are many people out there who wouldn’t mind being cuffed by Dev Cox.
