Jules and Ben christened the Kirstenbosch concert stage with its very first baby reveal.
That’s right! The GoodLuck couple are having a baby and decided to spread the positive vibes by revealing the ‘lucky bean’s’ gender with their fans at the iconic Kirstenbosch Concerts on Sunday night.
This was the first public announcement of the baby’s gender, shared with a crowd of around 5,000 people, following their pregnancy announcement earlier this year.
Lead singer Juliet Harding shared the news of the Little Lucky Beans’ existence on social media at the beginning of February, which was an even bigger surprise considering some fans didn’t even know she was involved with her fellow band co-founder and partner Ben Peters.
According to the post, the couple – who have been together for 15 years – have kept their relationship relatively under wraps, adding that they did not want to draw attention to their relationship, but rather their music.
Jules goes on to add that though the journey ahead may hold some challenges and uncertainty, the couple can’t wait to welcome their latest little band member in June this year.

Then the couple decided to publicly reveal the little nunu’s gender to the party crowd of close-knit fans at Kirstenbosch last night. They said on Instagram that the idea “seemed a bit extra” at first, but after 96% of their fans voted in a poll that they should absolutely share the vibes,” that we only live once”, they went ahead with the first gender reveal on a K-bosch stage.
“It’s a beautiful story we can tell the little one one day and pass on the enormous amount of love and joy we have felt performing amongst those trees for our home town over the years. I can’t think of a more magical spot to celebrate! For the record, we have already told family and some close friends and we are ready to share the happy news with our inner circle of people who love our music.”
As the fans readied themselves on team boy or team girl, the band readied themselves to reveal: IT’S A GIRL!
