A child has been injured following an incident at Cafe Roux in Noordhoek, Cape Town. The driver of a recent model Aston Martin claims to have had some trouble with his gear selector, and launched the vehicle into the play area and sandpit at the popular eatery.

Not a good look.

Local businessman and all round good guy, Dean Delaney, witnessed the incident just after lunch this Sunday, 18 February, 2024:

The owner tried to reverse his car and I suggested he doesn’t drive the vehicle, as a child had been injured. He sat in the car for about 5 minutes and the cops arrived. He had a problem with the gear selector and first reversed from the parking spot, then revved, changed into drive (probably by mistake) and launched through the fence.

The People’s Champ went on to say that the injuries to the child didn’t look serious.

For that, Mr. Aston Martin must be very thankful.
