Not a soul would have expected the wheelchair-bound renowned physicist Stephen Hawking to be associated with the notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, and yet, here we are.
It turns out the late paedophile’s massive ‘Black Book’ network proved to be pretty vast, showing how widespread his power and influence went, even touching on the man who wrote the bestselling A Brief History of Time.
In December 2023, Judge Loretta Preska made history by unsealing court documents to give the public access to the names of celebrities and British royal family members associated with former freaky financier. The name-drops came in a lawsuit filed by the alleged victim Virginia Giuffre brought against Epstein’s madam and accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell in 2015.
Epstein had ties to many famous and elite figures in politics, entertainment and academia, including Britain’s Prince Andrew, who is named dozens of times in the documents and who settled his own lawsuit with Giuffre in 2022 without admitting wrongdoing.
The notorious sex trafficker had brought up rumours involving two high-profile figures – Bill Clinton, a former US president, and Hawking – when he asked his madam Maxwell to put a bounty on information that would discredit one of his most prominent accusers. Fox News states that in a 2015 email from Epstein to Maxwell, he offered a reward for information that would disprove an apparent rumour that Hawking engaged in illicit conduct on his private island and that Clinton had eaten dinner there.
His lack of grammar and punctuation must have meant he was in a total panic.
Photos exist, showing the scientist and author visiting Epstein’s island in 2006 during a conference involving some of the world’s leading physicists. The conference took place on St. Thomas, which is to the northwest of Epstein’s Little St. James, which critics and many locals refer to as “paedophile island”. However, during the conference, Epstein hosted Hawking and other researchers for a barbecue on Little St. James:

Epstein had been “the driving force” behind setting up the conference where researchers were expected to discuss the question, “What is gravity?” while also having a little fun on the side, apparently:
“There is no agenda except fun and physics, and that’s fun with a capital ‘F,'” Epstein revealed in a 2006 article in the St. Thomas Source, a U.S. Virgin Islands newspaper, at the time.
Months after the conference, Epstein was arrested for child sex crimes for which he received a controversially lenient plea deal in 2008. Hawking, who had a debilitating illness known as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) – which paralysed him but did not hinder his research and writing – died in 2018. Epstein’s newly revealed email did not contain any evidence that Hawking had actually participated in any wrongdoing.
Per Wealth of Geeks, the other shocking names that have popped up in association with Epstein thanks to court docs and email name drops include Cate Blanchett, Naomi Campbell, Cameron Diaz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Bruce Willis, Michael Jackson, Al Gore, David Copperfield, Kevin Spacey, Donald Trump, Woody Allen, and Bill Gates, to name a few.
While Epstein had associations with some of the most affluent individuals of our time, it is crucial to clarify that the documents released do not constitute a roster of his clientele. Most of these names were just dropped randomly with little to no evidence of their connection to Epstein, including Blanchett, Campbell, Diaz, and Willis. Some of the others seem to have a sordid past of their own, but whether that is in connection to Epstein has not been proven.
The Clintons mention in the court documents don’t look good:
During a deposition, a former victim, Johanna Sjoberg, revealed that Epstein once told her, “Clinton likes them young, referring to girls.” Hillary Clinton’s name has also emerged in recent documents regarding the late investment mogul. Her name appeared as a potential witness in Giuffre’s legal suit.
Epstein passed away by an apparent suicide on August 10, 2019, just 35 days after his arrest on charges of trafficking and conspiracy – convenient for everyone associated with him.
Both Epstein and Maxwell were convicted in separate sex-trafficking cases. Maxwell was charged with three counts of conspiracy and one count of trafficking a minor. Eventually convicted on those charges, and an additional charge of transporting a minor with the intent to commit criminal activity of an adult nature, she received a sentence of 20 years in prison for her crimes.
