Stork just delivered some cutting-edge advertising at the Mall of Africa in Jozi.
The iconic local margarine brand set up an interactive food experience through the world’s first delivery billboard.
Stork went to one of the busiest malls in Africa to allow shoppers to nourish themselves with “a taste of the country” after a long, hard 2023 – via a unique interactive food experience with an interactive billboard at its centre.
Shoppers were shocked and then delighted when they were called upon by the man on the Stork billboard, speaking to them directly and inviting them to place an order for a bit of country wholesomeness. The lucky consumers were able to choose from three mouthwatering options to be delivered in real-time.
Options included a ‘Gourmet Tramezzini’ from Whispering Pines, a ‘Waffle Stack’ from Toadbury Hall or ‘The Fun Guy’ sarmie from Ground – all unique country restaurants and venues situated outside of Johannesburg creating delicious menu items with Stork in the mix.
Orders took just 60 seconds to arrive, delivered fresh “from the country”, according to Danisa Parks, Marketing Manager for Stork South Africa:
“The country is at the heart of everything we do. It’s in our name. It’s what people want. So we leveraged a unique media opportunity to bring the country to the city”.
Consumers who participated in this unique experience relished in the delivery of ‘Wholesome Country Goodness’ from Stork, where the brand essence really came to life.
It’s cool to see such a unique digital advert using an interactive billboard and a complimentary food experience in Mzansi.
Go, Stork, go.
