Speaking at the 2023 DealBook Summit in New York on Wednesday, Elon Musk, hurled some very un-corporate language at advertisers threatening to boycott the platform because of antisemitic posts.
Interviewer Andrew Ross Sorkin seemed to be at a loss for words, and the audience was also unusually quiet if you compare it to the reception he usually enjoys among tech-bros.
Elon might have a cult following amongst fans of SpaceX, but the comments didn’t seem to land well with the business crowd.
Musk even went on to single out Disney CEO Bob Iger in the audience, saying “Hi Bob!” We’re all for free speech and speaking your truth, but this comes across as a bit crass. Or serious billionaire flex.
So long X, and thanks for all the fish.
