Tired of playing GTA on his PlayStation, a 12-year-old boy decided to take a 15-ton construction forklift for a spin in a Michigan neighbourhood this week, with police helplessly giving chase.
The boy stole the construction vehicle from outside a middle school and managed to damage at least ten vehicles in the hour-long forklift chase.
Police were called to the school after dark and discovered the boy driving down a street with his headlights turned on. They followed the forklift at crazy speeds of up to 30km/h through the Georgetown Boulevard neighbourhood with emergency lights and sirens blaring until finally handing the pursuit over to the county sheriff when he crossed the city limits.
Eventually, the boy must have grown bored with the game and just stopped driving, and the police managed to arrest the youngster, who is now in a juvenile facility. Busted.
“This was a very dangerous situation that could’ve easily ended with serious injuries,” police said in a statement. ‘The incident remains an active and ongoing criminal investigation.”
Somebody just lost their gaming privileges.
