The unlikely mayor of uMngeni took to social media to take the p*ss with the ANCYL this weekend after the organisation misspelt his name on all of their protest posters.
Chris Pappas posted onto X with a caption asking “Please help find Passas. ANCYL is looking for him in uMngeni.” The post featured a picture of the young un’s posters which featured the slogan “Arrest Passas Now!”
The governing party’s youth wing, which is a fart’s shadow of the grouping that once called Mandela its leader, is calling for Pappas to be removed from office and face corruption charges for allegedly ‘paying uMngeni Tourism- an NGO chaired by Pappas fiance Jonathan JP Prinsloo’.
The youths took to the street on Thursday to call for Pappas’ arrest, but the message got lost in spellcheck.
The allegations of corruption started flying when Pappas confirmed that he was the DA’s KZN premier candidate for the 2024 elections.
Sizwe Mchunu, a former DA KZN leader who is now an ANC member, has written to the Public Protector requesting an investigation into the allegations of corruption and nepotism. Mchunu claims in his letter that there is no documentation from the NGO outlining how they formally requested the funding, or any indication of the intended use of the monies.
The amount handed to Prinsloo’s organization “far exceeds any of the grants given to the other entities advocating for exactly a similar venture,” according to Mchunu.
Whatever the outcome of this ‘probe’ is, the Youth League can do well to at least check their spelling in the future.
Grammarly your political vitriol before printing a thousand poster, otherwise you look like a bunch of children.
