A newly published biography, penned by Walter Isaacson, offers intriguing insights into Elon Musk’s life, including some juicy never-before-heard stories that seem to be right in line with the world-famous tech-bro’s ridiculous shenanigans.
One of the most gobsmacking stories featured about Musk is an incident involving a recording session for famed game Cyberpunk 2077.
According to the biography, Musk rocked up at the studio while his ex-girlfriend and baby-mama, Claire Boucher AKA Grimes, was recording her dialogue for a character in the popular video game. Grimes featured in Cyberpunk 2077 as pop star character Lizzy Wizzy, and was laying down some vocal takes when Musk bust in.
The ‘X-man’ himself arrived at the studio armed with what was described as a “two-hundred-year-old-gun” and insisted on having a part in the game. Um, that’s not exactly how the selection process works, Elon.
According to biographer Isaacson, “He showed up at the studio wielding a two-hundred-year-old gun and insisted that they give him a cameo.”
Musk has since explained that, during the situation, “I told them that I was armed but not dangerous”. However, these seem like empty words since Grimes recalled that the “studio guys were like sweating”. I’m not surprised the audio technicians were feeling unsettled. If you see a pale white dude with a weapon turn up unexpectedly, my advice is run.
Despite the unconventional entrance (or maybe because of it), CD Projekt Red, the developer of Cyberpunk 2077, eventually agreed to Musk’s involvement.
In the game, Musk’s likeness is featured as a non-playable character (NPC) who can be encountered in the bathrooms at Arasaka Corporation at the beginning of the Corpo life-path. Players have the option to interact with the NPC by asking why they’re staring, but the character exits the bathroom without offering any significant response. Vintage firearm not included.
The biography also reveals more controversial and previously undisclosed details about Musk’s personal life, including an incident involving actor Amber Heard.
While the pair were dating, Musk reportedly asked Heard to cosplay as the character Mercy from the popular game Overwatch, stating that Mercy was his favourite character. Heard then spent two months designing and commissioning a full costume to indulge Musk’s request.
Musk later shared an image of Heard in her Mercy cosplay with his 156 million followers, but Heard apparently did not grant permission for the photo and wished to keep it “private”. It’s out there now though, as you can’t stop netizens from using the trusty screenshot for posterity.
Despite the nature of how the picture was shared, we’ve gotta give props to Heard for a spot-on cosplay. Even if it was because a creepy guy suggested it.
NEWS UPDATE:
I’ve been hearing from sources that it has been revealed via a new Biography that billionaire Elon Musk asked his ex-girlfriend Amber Heard to cosplay the Overwatch character Mercy when they were still together.

Musk’s behaviour, though vaguely amusing, is no longer that shocking to us. He has become a real cyberpunk. But please, somebody confiscate that damn gun, lest we want Musk to bust in on the Rolling Stones’s studio and ruin their upcoming album.
