Singer-songwriter superstar Adele garnered a huge amount of attention this week due to a moment of kindness she shared with a hyper-ventilating fan during a recent show.
Adele’s Las Vegas concert was stopped by the singer right in the middle of a song, as she noticed tension near the front row between an excited fan and other concertgoers.
Unlike the typical pauses prompted by technical glitches or wardrobe malfunctions that we’ve come to know in showbiz, Adele’s pause was fuelled by what seemed to be a deep understanding of the emotional climate of her audience.
The devoted fan at the centre of the controversy was captured on camera having the time of his life seeing Adele perform – singing, dancing and having a full-on fanboy moment. ‘Rolling in the Deep’ of the moment, as it were.
While the guy’s joy seemed harmless enough, a few other attendees at the show were clearly not vibing with his level of exuberance and took it upon themselves to walk over and shower the fan in negativity.
Such a situation could easily deflate anyone’s spirits, but Adele wasn’t having any mood-crushing moments on her watch.

We’re big fans of the way Adele addressed the audience with unwavering yet gentle resolve.
“He’s here to have fun. We’re all here to have fun.”
That’s the bottom line, folks! And it’s safe to say that the lucky fan whose knight in shining armour took the form of the great Adele went from having his night ruined to made in a matter of minutes.
Shout-out to the award-winning artist for showing the world that it’s not all about the drama, but that moments like this can be turned around with confidence and kindness.
